This technique will also help to keep your doll clothes nice and easy to find!
So....let's get started!
Materials:
- Cardboard boxes'
- Paper
- Markers
- Tape
1. Get some cardboard boxes!
I use the USPS cardboard boxes! I ordered the boxes mainly for shipping out things, but since I've had a lot more extra boxes ( I got the ten boxes pack), I decided to reuse instead of throwing them away!
The boxes you can get at USPS store or on their website for free! I got the 7x7x6" boxes, you could get any size depends on the amount of clothing and space you have!

2. - optional- Cover the boxes!
You can totally cover the boxes to make them your own! Use contact paper, scrapbook paper, white paper,...etc. It will take a while, I didn't cover mine because I'm putting all of the boxes in the bookshelves so it won't be seen when displaying only!
3. Make some labels for easier access!

All I did for this step was cutting a piece of paper to be the label, then I took some markers and wrote the category of the clothing.
Here are some categories examples!
- Dresses
- Tops
- Bottoms
- Pajamas
- Others
Those are just general categories! If you do have a lot of doll clothes, you could use these categories!
- Dresses
- T-shirts
- Long sleeve tees
- Skirts
- Pants
- Shorts
- Jackets
- Pajamas
And... THAT'S IT! Now you can lay down all of the clothes nicely in each boxes, or you can just shove them in.. ( your choice!) I laid down all of my clothing pieces so they won't get wrinkled!
